Early this morning, I had a dream that I was speaking to my sister-in-law about her son (my nephew). I told her I'd heard he was interested in going for a PhD. She said even though the course fees are expensive, she and her husband (my brother) are going to support him all the way.
When I woke up this morning I thought about how my nephew was almost a young man; he's now 16 and about to take his GSCE (General Certificate of Secondary Education) exams. He has two more years before even considering university let alone a PhD. I thought that maybe one day he'll read my blogs and see what his aunt is into.
Before I left home I spoke to my mother about her plans for the day. When she said she was thinking of taking her prescription form to her doctor's surgery, I offered to take it for her. On the way out, I wondered how my neighbours were. I heard the husband was recently admitted to hospital. Maybe I'll see his wife and ask her.
At the surgery, just as I was putting the prescription form in the box I heard someone call out my name. It was my sister-in-law. Two seats away from her was my neighbour. First of all, I asked my neighbour how her husband was and she said he was still in hospital as they were doing tests on him. She asked me to give mum her love. Then I sat next to my sister-in-law. She was there to see one of the doctors. She said the doctor was running late. Just as well he was late otherwise I wouldn't have met her at the surgery. We discussed her son's impending exams and how he's banned from using game consoles and Internet until after his exams. I also shared my dream about university. She said maybe that will happen in the future. We also discussed a party she and her husband have been planning for my mother and when the most appropriate time would be.
It's amazing how the Universe arranged our meetings so perfectly. Then again if I hadn't offered to take the prescription form I might not have experienced the magic in that way. I have no doubt, however, that Love would have arranged another opportunity for the meetings as I believe it's the nature of Love to always keep revealing HER gifts of love in myriad ways.
